BTS from my favourite moments as Janaki! This scene was shot on my very first day for #Triples. Frankly, I wouldn’t have had it any other way since the scene so neatly encapsulates the relationship between Maadhu and Jaanu. It paved the way for the rest of the shoot in terms of how I saw Janaki as a character, what her quirks and eccentricities would be, and how she would interact with the situations around her. Biggest props to @actor_vivekprasanna – someone I can keep talking about forever – whose positive energy on set, dedication to the craft, and top notch talent helped me shape my character in a more compelling and beautiful manner. While it was completely outside of my comfort zone to play a character as layered and innocent as Mathi, I think most of my learning experience in #NovemberStory came from the powerhouse actors I had an opportunity to share screen with. @tamannaahspeaks is kind, considerate, and as bold as she is beautiful. #Pasupathy sir is probably the most intelligent artist I’ve had the chance to share screen with – the conversations we had during these days are those I will forever cherish. @g.m.kumar was a riot from start to finish. His zeal for life and energy was infectious on set.
During the grueling climax sequence (which was shot over several days), it was Pasupathy sir’s generous offers of mutton soup, GM’s wisdom, and Tamannaah’s super effective massage therapy that kept me going. Not to mention the other lovely actors I got to meet: @nish_naidu, @theferass, @itspooranesh, @pujitha_devaraju and the sweetest @janisuresh73. It was wonderful sharing this journey with all of you!

This is an appreciation post for the resilient force that is the #NovemberStory team. Despite a number of hurdles – two lockdowns, a cyclone, date and location issues, trysts with #covid_19 – this team pulled off an epic story that spans multiple timelines, numerous locations, a HUGE starcast, and a nuanced and complex screenplay. @indhra_subramanian led by example, always maintaining composure on set. This is one of the qualities I admire the MOST in a director, and he was equally instrumental in passing this quality down to his associates. @madhumitha_raghavan whose word I trusted with my life on every turn this project took (watch out for this lady!), @praveen_james – a constant pillar of joy and support, and the others I didn’t have too much of an opportunity to interact with but still helped me give my best in every scene – @benjaminnnnnnnnnm, @santhosh_raj_sakthivel, @sriranjanikannan, @iyshwaryavenkat, @ash_pixel_auteur and Dinesh.
@vidhu.ig is masterful with his vision (of the frame, and otherwise) and generous with his kindness.
Thank you for giving me Mathi! It has been a pleasure and honour to be a part of this long yet satisfying journey. Because, “we always realise the purpose of our life not at the end of the journey but by looking back at the paths we chose.” ❤️
