Wes Craven Instagram – #30YearsofNightmare The inspiration for the character of Freddy came from several sources in my childhood. A boy named Freddy bullied me for years on our shared paper route. Freddy’s appearance (especially the dirty clothes and hat) was inspired by a hobo who I saw staring at me through my window late one evening. #FreddyKrueger
