All is well with Suriya. Suriya and Hari’s S3, the third installment in the Singam franchise had its teaser released by 6 PM yesterday. The teaser for the movie which released to great expectations has had a great reception among fans. The teaser had Suriya reprising his role as DSP DuraiSingam and Anushka reprising her role as Kavya again after the first two installments.
The Singam franchise has turned out to be a profitable one for the makers of the movie and was well received both by critics and the audience. This added to the expectation that built on S3. With the expectations built high, the teaser once released went on to rule the timelines of social networks around the world.
The teaser was viewed more than 1 million times in 3 hours. The makers also announced on their respective social media pages that the teaser clocked 2 million views in less than 17 hours. Now 24 hours after the teaser got released the makers have announced that the teaser has crossed 3 Million views so far, this is the second teaser from Kollywood to achieve this feat only after Kabali.
With the hit level of teaser determining the expectation levels of the upcoming movie these days, this is indeed a big feat by the S3 team.
The teaser had Director Hari’s trademark punch dialogues which Suriya aced with ease. The action sequences were exceptional and it also showed the glimpse of the baddie in the movie played by Thakur Anoop Singh. Thakur is the first Indian to win the title of Mr.World 2015 World Body Building Championship. S3 marks the debut Tamil film for Thakur Anoop Singh.
An interesting addition to the franchise is Shruti Haasan who is said to play the role of a journalist in the movie. Singer Krish and Robo Shankar are also seen in a couple of frames beside Suriya. Comedian Soori is also seen in the teaser. This is the first Singam film for Robo Shankar, Krish, Soori and Shruti Haasan
With the building blocks this stronger, the trailer and the songs of the movie are much expected, Harris Jayaraj has been signed as the music director of this film, unlike the first two franchises which had DSP as the music director. Colloboration of Harris in Suriya’s films has proved to be successful in their previous outings.
