This month minsters from Australia and New Zealand will vote to determine if palm oil will require mandatory labeling on food products. Currently palm oil can be labeled 200 different ways including simply as “vegetable oil ” making it nearly impossible for consumers to shop ethnically. Roots and Shoots Australia is asking the government to vote yes to Recommendation 12 for clear palm oil labeling.
