And then.. The stupidly talented and superhumanly kind @benjyoung brought his baby into the world at the Venice film festival! Our bold little flick, ‘Hounds of Love’, was given wondrous reviews and was in the top three films in the Venice Days section!! And “I” won Best Actor/Actress! I use inverted commas here because, yet again, my performance was truly a team effort. Between Ben’s sharply insightful direction, his generosity of time for exploration of our characters and choices, @emma_booth_luna_actor and Steve Curry’s terrifying talent and devotion to our interplay, and the trust and love that was fostered on set by all members of the cast and crew, I have to say that this award is OURS. 💛🌏🌞 #houndsoflove

This is Ezra. Every day we, along with the goats, trekked four hours in the Moroccan Sahara to fetch (unnervingly brown shaded and rather viscous) water from the nearest well. Most of the time I felt bad that she had to carry such a heavy load so I used to lug it around for her and she’d be there for moral support. (She was a tip top listener 👌). Also, sometimes the goats would give birth during our journeys and we’d put the kids in her little pouches, and she’d proceed to protect/mother them even when we got back to the tent. #nofilter

– reusable dishwashing gloves OR an end destination with some water and soap
– a waterproof bag you can wash out after OR a plastic bag you find on the street OR a biodegradable garbage bag OR just your hands
STEP ONE:
– pick up some rubbish (if you only have a limited amount of time, prioritise plastics, metals and glass or any other non-biodegradable materials) …There’s only one step.
Even if you pick up 5 pieces of rubbish on your way to work each day, imagine how that would accumulate! I know it seems like a futile exercise sometimes, but every SINGLE piece of rubbish disposed of makes the world that tiny bit healthier! And maybe you’re not the one littering so it doesn’t feel like your responsibility… But this issue is far greater than the individual – it is everyone’s responsibility. As a race we have landed ourselves in this destruction and as a race we must find our way out of it.
There are so many studies that claim we are environmentally beyond the tipping point and can’t come back. There are also countless ones that claim the opposite. Regardless, even if we can’t reverse our impact entirely, we can at least better the current situation! Besides, hope is only gone when you stop believing in it. 🌎🌍🌏 #thefutureofourworldisinYOURhands

Yesterday, we finished our run of @sydneytheatreco ‘s ‘The Hanging’. Superbly written by Angela Betzein, magically directed by Sarah Goodes and performed alongside the brilliant Geneveive Lemon and gorgeous Luke Carroll, I couldn’t have been part of a better team. There are SO many other phenomenal folk who comprise this production and my heart swells with gratitude and sickly sweet love for you all! Thank you to audiences who helped breathe life into this stunning story! And thank you for having me STC; I’m going to miss my Harbourside home and all its beautiful inhabitants! #andtheview…
