Dhanush’s directorial debut Pa-Paandi released recently and was well received by both critics and the audience alike. Dhanush has been receiving praises from all corners of the industry, thanks to his feel good film that impressed almost everyone who watched the film.
Impressed with the outcome of the film, Superstar Rajinikanth appreciated the director and also suggested the movie for a possible remake in Telugu.
Sources close to the Kabali actor suggests that Superstar and Dhanush made a special screening for Telugu actor Mohan Babu. Mohan Babu who is a co-star and close friend of Superstar was impressed with the film too. Superstar Rajinikanth suggested Mohan Babu take up the remake of the film in Telugu.
If sources close to the crew are to be believed, Subramaniam Siva who directed Dhanush in Thiruda Thirudi and Seedan is likely to direct the project in Telugu with Mohan Babu as the lead character.
Mohan Babu is likely to replace Rajkiran in the Telugu remake. Rajkiran played Power Paandi, the 64 year old retired Stunt Master. Prasanna and Chaya Singh played pivotal roles in the movie Pa-Paandi. Dhanush plays the younger version of Rajkiran in the movie. Revathi stars opposite Rajkiran in the movie.
Director Subramaniam Siva says that if things fall into place accordingly the team might go to floors in a couple of months with Mohan Babu as the lead. He also believes that Power Paandi is a script which will work with all audiences irrespective of the language that is being taken.
