Velaikaaran is the upcoming Sivakarthikeyan’s movie from director Raja of Thani Oruvan fame. The movie has Nayanthara as the leading actress while it has got a large supporting cast that includes Fahadh Fazil, Sneha, R.J.Balaji, Sathish, Vijay Vasanth, Robo Shankar, Charlie, Prakash Raj and Rohini. The team with a stellar cast have just returned from a long schedule in Malaysia.
Touted to be a commercial entertainer that deals with a strong social message the movie is being produced by 24 AM Studios of Remo fame. Anirudh who is known for his Successful collaboration with Sivakarthikeyan has signed as the music director for this movie too. The last outing of the actor Remo was declared a super hit and was much talked about for the challenging change over the role that Sivakarthikeyan took up. Remo was also talked about for the promotions of the movie that was in no way similar to the promotions of other movies.
The makers first revealed that the release of the movie was scheduled for the Vinayakar Chaturthi weekend in the month of August. However, they later announced that the release has been postponed to 29th of September. They further told that the first look of the movie can be expected on 5th of June.
The team was shooting for some time in the slums and the apartments within the boundary of Chennai City. The team then announced the start of this month that they will be flying to Malaysia to shoot an important schedule there. The shoot in Malaysia has now been reportedly wrapped up. With another small schedule in Chennai, the team is probably expected to jump into post production very soon.
