It’s been 18 years since G.V.Prakash crooned for a song under Rahman’s music. Last time he did it was for the movie ‘Mudhalvan’ says sources. G.V.Prakash has announced on his twitter account that he has sung an energetic number in Rahman’s upcoming anticipated movie ‘Mersal’. Directed by Atlee, the movie has got Vijay playing a triple role in the movie.
The movie is being funded by Thenandal Films and is said to be their 100th project under their banner. Last time the director Atlee and Vijay got together it was for Theri. After the phenomenal success of the Theri movie, the makers of ‘Mersal’ are waiting to recreate the same ‘Theri’ magic with the duo.
The first look of the movie ‘Mersal’ got released recently on the occasion of Vijay’s birthday which created quite a wave on the internet within hours of its release. The two images that were released by the makers had the actor in two different avatars. The third image is still under wraps and is not revealed by the makers yet.
Nithya Menen, Kajal Agarwal and Samantha play the romantic interest of the actor in the movie. After the Rajinikanth’s 2.0 shifted its release date from Diwali, the makers of Mersal confirmed the release of the movie on Diwali. The team has planned to release the audio of the movie in a grand manner by the month of August.
It is reported that the team has finished shooting portions of the movie that include Vijay, Nithya Menen and Kajal Agarwal. The team will soon get on floors to shoot scenes that include Vijay and Samantha Ruth Prabhu.
