The movie that made headlines with just its first look has come up with another exciting announcement. The makers of Mersal have announced that the musical album of the movie which is composed by academy award winner A.R.Rahman will be released on 20th of August this year. This is the second time A.R.Rahman is collaborating with actor Vijay after Azhagiya Tamil Magan. The songs of ATM were all blockbusters and the makers are expecting the similar response from the fans for Mersal as well.
Vijay is known for his collaboration with Atlee in the movie Theri which turned out to be one of the biggest blockbusters of the year. Following the successful combination, the makers are expecting to repeat the success of the combo. Atlee was just one movie old when he took up Theri. The movie became a roaring success and that was enough for the producers Thenandal Films to sign Atlee for their next with Vijay.
Mersal is said to be the 100th film of the infamous production house Thenandal Films and the makers are making sure that no stone is left unturned for this ambitious flick. Vijayendra Prasad who rose to fame with the magnanimous Baahubali has rendered the script for the movie.
Touted to be a story with three protagonists, Vijay is said to play all the three major roles in the movie. The makers released the first look poster of the movie later last month and the posters became quite a rage within hours of its release. The makers released two looks of the actor Vijay from the movie while the third look is said to be in wraps.
Kajal Agarwal, Nithya Menen and Samantha have signed to play three leading female characters in the movie while Vadivelu and S.J.Surya are signed to play important supporting characters. Vijay has changed his screen title from ‘Ilayathalapathy’ to ‘Thalapathy’ for this movie and that makes the movie all the more special for his fans.
