Atharvaa who is currently awaiting the release of two of his films has signed another film with director R.Kannan of Ivan Thandhiran fame. The recent update regarding the movie is that the director has reportedly signed actress ‘Megha Akash’ to play the lead female role in the movie.
R.Kannan debuted with the 2007 hit film ‘Jayamkondan’ with Vinay, Bhavana in the lead. He then went on to direct movies like Vandhan Vendraan, Kanden Kadhalai, and Settai. He directed Gautham Karthik in the movie ‘ivan thandhiran’ which went onto become a sleeper hit despite the Theatre strike that was happening during the time of the movie’s release. He turned a producer with ‘Ivan Thandhiran’ and is now all set to direct ‘Atharva’ in the upcoming movie.
Music director Radhan who rose to fame as music director in this year’s cult hit Arjun Reddy has been signed to compose tunes for the upcoming film with Atharvaa and Megha Akash. He had earlier worked as a music director in Tamil films like Darling 2 and Vaaliba Raaja.The project is said to be jointly produced by R Kannan and M.K.Ram Prasad under the banners Masala Pix and MKRP Productions.
Atharvaa’s last outing Geminiganesanum Suruli Rajanum released to mixed response where he starred opposite 4 heroines. Atharvaa is currently waiting for the release of two of his films Sema Botha Aagathey and Imaikaa Nodigal. The actor is teaming up with director Badri Venkatesh for SBA and has turned a producer to fund the film too. He will be seen opposite Raashi Khanna in the movie Imaikaa Nodigal which is touted to be a thriller of sorts.
Megha Akash who is still waiting for the release of her debut movie, has already become the talk of the town, thanks to the second movie which is being directed by Gautham Menon. Megha signed ‘Oru Pakka Kathai’ as her first movie opposite Kalidas jayaram under ‘Balaji Tharaneetharan’’s direction. Even when the movie was under production she was approached by Gautham Menon to play the lead female role in his movie ‘Ennai Nokki Paayum Thotta’ opposite Dhanush.
