Chiyaan Vikram announced last month that he will be launching his son as an actor in the remake of the recent Telugu blockbuster ‘Arjun Reddy’. He also announced that veteran director Bala would be directing the flick that will be produced by E4 Entertainment. A recent update regarding the project is that the makers have finalised the title of the Tamil remake. Vikram took it to his Instagram account to announce the title as ‘Varma’. The announcement post also had the sketch of the debutante ‘Dhruv Vikram’ sporting a thick beard and moustache.
It is to be noted that Bala gave a break to actor Vikram with his directorial debut ‘Sethu’. Sethu is praised as a cult classic that gave both Bala and Vikram the recognition they deserved. Vikram is making sure that his son Dhruv is getting a similar and effective Launchpad for his son in his very first film.
Arjun Reddy got into a lot of controversies upon its release and it eventually came out as a winner in Telugu cinema. Vijay Devarakonda and Shalini Pandey starred in the original Arjun Reddy. While the female lead in the tamil remake is yet to be announced, Vikram has hinted the name of the actress through his Instagram post that promised the announcement by 12 noon tomorrow.
