Yuthan Balaji Instagram – We avoid processing emotions because what we feel contradicts our self image, its so different to society’s perception of normality and so it goes against who we would like to truly be. We avoid and fail at doing this not because we are lazy not because we are stupid but because it’s uncomfortable and it’s tough. To process our emotions requires research, investigation, compassion and a tad bit of courage but the outcome is always an alleviation of stress and anxiety. Nor am I suggesting that you never experience negativity. Of course not! You’re human. It’s about catching yourself when you do. Noticing when your mood or energy dips. And taking the necessary steps to come back into alignment. It may be as simple as drinking more water, taking a nap, meditating, exercising or smudging yourself. Or it may take more work.
