Brad William Henke Instagram – Look I don’t understand this and don’t know how to fix except by treating all people equally and with respect and kindness and openness. If we could find a way for people from different cultures to spend time together and get to know people as unique humans … I think that would help. It’s easier to hate an idea of something than to hate something you actually know … this country is screwed from years of looking at things from a prism of white men who want to stay in power. Hey personally I am I white Man , I want to be the lead of a TV show, that is my goal and the more diverse ethnically TV becomes I see the quality and creativity soar. I want to be considered one of the best at something , for that to happen EVERY ETHNICITY needs to have a fair shot and be represented on tv playing every type of role . For a while they need to hire more people of color than white dudes. And I need to SHOUT my SUPPORT for that because the ratio and types of roles available to people of color has been skewed negatively for years. my profession is hard so it has seemed sooooooo hard for me to make it . I have not felt privileged at all because I moved to Hollywood not knowing anyone and at some point you have know someone to get through the gate … now if it was hard for me ? Imagine if I was black or Latino … or Asian ,Middle Eastern , indian…more than half the roles would not have even been available for me to audition for … so at some point , the white male has to be strong enough to say , this county has been skewed in my favor for two thousand years and I WANT that to change , even if it makes my life harder . It’s not my turn now and if we allow things to become even and fair … then that’s when all my accomplishments will really mean something because they will come competing against all the best actors , not just the best white actors … white males- it is our turn to make sacrifices so all ethnicities can have a fair shot at the same life .
