Nathan Kress Instagram – “Tweet others the way you’d like to be tweeted.” I posted that phrase years ago, in the midst of dealing with my own run-ins with cyberbullying. Those words still ring true for society as a whole… now, probably more than ever. For those that don’t know, October is National Bullying Prevention Month. As this month comes to a close, I want to share with you #OneSchoolsResponse that literally brought to light the emotions and tensions surrounding these issues: an art installation called “Bias, Bigotry, and Bullying”, benefitting The Protectors– an organization that tours schools around the country, educating kids and parents on the realities of bullying in today’s world, and solutions to bring it to an end. It’s hard to describe through written word, but I wish that everyone could have a chance to witness this in person. Maybe, someday, you can. Until then, I implore you to treat each other with the respect, dignity, and LOVE that each of us would want for our own selves.
