Vicky Jeudy Instagram – “Ugh, she’s perfect” Ummm… no I’m not guys. 😜 This photo looks perfect but rest assured I’m not. This picture captures the power of great lighting, a passionate makeup artist and a photographer who absolutely adores me. I’m a human being therefore I’m complex and sometimes my emotions can be messy. I believe we as a society have become highly efficient in highlighting the best moments in our lives on social media. We display the positive and shy away from the negative. There is nothing wrong with sharing “happy” moments but maybe, just maybe if we uncovered our darkness we would all realize we have a lot more in common. I admit it, I personally have a love hate relationship with social media. The picture above doesn’t reveal how earlier this week, I had a complete meltdown regarding a problem. A friend told me to stop whatever I was doing and to write down my feelings. “This is a moment” she phased it. Later, I shared my dark thought provoking journal entry with her. This particular social media post is for the awkward preteen, the less than confident teenager, the overwhelmed college student and to anyone who is scrolling and feeling under valued. I just want to let you know I get it. 😘❤️💋
