I wrote this poem as an anthem for black girls in a time where there was little hope. Only protests and women bodies standing on the front line, again. I write this now with a full heart, a heart beating so fast and wild w/gratitude. I will always fight for us, #blackgirls. I will always ride & knuck & gnash against the doubt. We are miraculous. And black. And woman. And human. And brave. And vulnerable. And Yea, we break only to make space for more love to come.
