Lily Newmark Instagram – Hi everyone – you may not know this, but after a trip to Rwanda in 2007 to work on a social action project, my family were so moved by what we saw we decided to start a charity @apartnerineducation and build a primary school in Kigali. There’s a short film to give you an idea of what our school is like in the link in donation page in my bio!
Everyone involved – parents, students, staff and the local community –  like it so much they have asked us to build a secondary school next door, so we’ve made a start!
We have been building three new classrooms and a hall for sport, music, art, drama and somewhere to eat lunch.
We are at a critical moment – the building work on the classrooms needs to be finished by August so that the inspectors can give us a thumbs up and our P6 students can start secondary school. Each classroom costs £20,000 to build, and I am setting this as my target to raise.
