Last year during prep my mom asked if she and my dad could be extras, I told her “the only extra’s are zombie’s”, she said “cool!”, I asked, “mom do u even know what a zombie does?” she said, “no, but if u give me a chance, I will try my best for you!” (😂watch the video) The first take she stops mid-take b/c she didn’t know that on a movie set, u don’t break character til you hear “cut”, so she just stopped when she felt like it… the 2nd take was a winner. Go Mom!

Quick stop at the Burj Al Arab. Learned today that it took 3000 companies, 250 designers, and 3500 workers on site daily to build this hotel. Starting in 1994, it took 2 years just to build the artificial island to support the weight, and another 3 years to build the hotel. Pretty crazy, huh?

When I was in film school, my parents would drive hours to help do craft services, extra work, and be PA’s on my student films. Whenever I’d thank my mom, she would always say “Lin, that’s what family is all about”. Keeping her and my dad involved in the projects I do, means the world to me. Jet skied to the La Famille Express, an abandoned Russian Navy cargo ship 2 miles off the coast of Turks and Caicos. Built in 1952, it shipwrecked during Hurricane Frances and has sat here since. They say it is one of over 3 million shipwrecked vessles in the sea.
