Sadha Instagram – It’s been 10 days since I woke up to the shocking news of Sridevi mam passing away. I for days to come, like millions of her fans, couldn’t digest the fact that she was no more with us. She was not someone I’ve worked with or even met once for that matter. Yet it felt like someone really close to my heart has gone forever. Such was her impact on me which I realised only when I had gone to pay my last respects to her! She was someone I adored and admired while growing up. Have performed on songs like ‘Mornii baaga maa’ from ‘Lamhe’ a dozen times in various functions as a kid. So much to learn from her. Yet her nuances were unmatchable. There was/is no one like her and will never be! She played all kinds of roles with equal ease. Most of them unlike what she was in real life! Shy and quiet! Her death has left a void in the film industry that can never be filled. What saddened me further that we wouldn’t get to watch her on big screen ever again. Especially after her dignified comeback with movies like ‘English Vinglish’ and ‘Mom’ there was so much to look forward to. I’m so thankful to PVR cinemas for coming up with this tribute to Sridevi mam on the occasion of Women’s Day. Some of her best films are gonna be screened on 7th and 8th March and I already have made plans to watch as many as possible!
