I had worn out the VHS tapes of fx movies like star wars and Indiana Jones and always wondered how they made them.I saw this book in landmark (extra points for those that remember the gorgeous nungambakkam landmark book store) and begged my mother for it for what seemed like months. It was expensive then, considering she was a single mother working and taking care of my sister and me at the same time. There were people who told her not to get it, that it would be a waste of money and that a 10 year old would look at the pictures and not read it.. I remember reading it end to end a few times and it was one of those books that moved me closer to wanting to work in the movies. Seeing this today after so many years brings back memories and made me realize how I've come step by step towards my childhood dream of working in the movies. It's not everyday that you get to do & be what you wanted to as a little boy. I'm thankful for that. And
