Ashwin Kakumanu Instagram – No reason for this post,other than the fact that I realized today is September 11th.I was in the US when the September 11th attacks took place and I’ll never forget how I was in a hallway watching this on the tv and could slowly feel people stare at me once the news about the terrorists being foreign students start to break.I was no where near New York, but even in Ann arbor, Michigan you could feel the far reaching impact of a racial fear beginning to take shape.Nevertheless,in the face of such fear and pain, it was still amazing to see people of different ethnicities and nationalities come together to help and heal. It’s remarkable how in times of a tragedy ,you will see the human spirit come together in kindness. And how once it’s far enough in our memories we go back to being the way we are. #neverforget
