Shawn Pyfrom Instagram – It’s difficult to explain what this image means to me, and why I chose to get it tattooed last night. But to give an idea… it represents a transition for me – from darkness to light.
The piece,itself [entitled: “Koons Me”], speaks to what has been imposed upon something that is/was pure. It’s a protest against force. It is made by my friend @ezkstreetart – the subject of the documentary I’ve been filming here in Paris. But EZK is, now, also my brother in “shiny darkness”. It was skillfully and thoughtfully tattooed upon me last night by @jeremync_touslesjours at his studio @touslesjours_paris.
Thanks to both of these beautiful humans for making something so meaningful a part of me for life.
