I understand that there is a lot of complexity and opinion swirling around this issue. I stand by this – ASYLUM is a RIGHT protected by several international agreements. It is LEGAL. To use force against asylum seekers sets a dangerous precedent by flouting international law, eroding international agreements, and further degrading American leadership and norms. Think of the children. Have compassion for those fleeing violence. Can’t we agree there must be a better way 💔
