On this Navratri,  while celebrating the feats of the goddesses of the past we must acknowlegde and celebrate the feats of contemporary women too, who is demanding for inclusive growth and commanding the much needed respect she duly deserves. She has earned it before as Kali, as Shakti, as Annapurna, as Mahagauri, the list can go on. All lords from time immemomorial bow down to her or draw the joy of life from her various avatars. If she choses to bow down to mankind, allows herself to be domesticated, don’t count it as her weakness but rather adore her for her giving and loving nature. Celebrate this Navratri with a raised consciousness/awareness of this feminine energy not only in temples, in idols, in mantras or posters.
