I sat in front of him, he asked if I could sing, I couldn’t, But said yes. Looking back at it, that was one of those defining moments. That shot at someone finally taking a chance on you. And just like my pathetic attempt at Etta James’s “At Last”, he did. My agent/ manager/ cheerleader/ step dad and above all dear loving friend has since become my biggest ally, The only one who can talk me off a ledge and the first to unveil everything I THINK I can’t do. You are as hard working as you are fun, persistent as you are loose, serious as you are silly & tough as you are kind. I don’t know where I’d be without you, but I know it wouldn’t be as fab.
