We usually had music by one of these singers playing in our living room at all times. My mother loved Marathi songs, my father was a fan of Bollywood classics while I preferred listening to Bollywood songs from the early 2000s. Eventually, I also started loving the music my parents loved. Every now and then, with these songs, I got a peek into the time period they grew up in. Slowly but surely, through music, I realized we have much more in common even though we grew up during different time periods and we grew closer.
