Sana Sarfaraz Instagram – The “bus ker pagli rukaye gi kya” moment š¤£
No, it wasn’t as easy as it seems. Today, I’d like to open up about my journey and extend my gratitude to all those who were there during my most vulnerable times in life.
It was indeed a very tedious and long journey, coming from a broken family and trying to find stability. From homeschooling to reaching the master’s level at the top 3 universities of Pakistan with a 3.3 CGPA and one scholarship, keeping up with my teachers’ expectations, and being professional in the media at the same time. Waking up early for shoots and staying up at night to meet assignment deadlines. Being a simple student during the day and a supermodel during the night at fashion weeks. Being bullied at my university for being a model and sometimes being judged in the media for being a bit too outspoken and for standing against wrong work ethics and the objectification of women. Juggling between work and studies, acing both professionally and academically ā every single bit of it wasn’t easy for me.
It was even more difficult for me to turn down my career and make education (MASTERS DEGREE) my priority just when I was on top of my stardom. When people asked me why I would take my education more seriously just when I’m excelling in my career and making it big at a very young age, their questions made me wonder if all this is worth it.
But today, I realize all the hard work, all the pain was worth it. Holding this degree is much more honorable than holding any other award in the world. Those workaholic days filled with tedious outdoor shoots, the sleepless nights of assignment completion, and early morning presentations ā every single bit of the pain was worth this precious moment of honor.
Lastly, can I ever thank you, Ma, for being the only constant during all the inconsistencies? For making us your priority!
