Birthday cake from wifey @supriyamenonprithviraj Not only was it yum..but the cake topper actually recreates a scene from a day at #Lucifer shoot! Just so that you know when you see the film..that day I was shooting a pretty intense scene between @vivekoberoi and #Saikumar chetan when the lil one decided she had to drag me back home and refused to let go of my leg! As it turns out..all 3 of our birthdays were celebrated during the course of #Lucifer shoot this year! ❤️
So today..Lalettan bids adieu to #Lucifer and #StephenNedumpally It has been a journey like no other for me. When I took up the challenge of directing a huge film like #Lucifer , most of my well wishers told me it wasn’t the wisest decision I’ve made..and that as an actor, its a foolish investment of time. I still don’t know about that..but what I do know for sure..is that I’ve probably learned more about cinema and my craft in the last 6 months than the 16 years preceding it. Thank you #Lalettan for believing in me..and directing you has been the absolute highlight of my career. Regardless of how many ever films I direct..or even if I’ll never direct a film again..#StephenNedumpally will always be special. ❤️

A week more to the next schedule of L. It’s been an absolute privilege to have legends in frame and direct them, and it’s the most intense learning process in cinema that I’ve been part of in my career. Post production of #9 is in progress..and the trailer will soon be out. We hope to bring you a wholesome, new and totally entertaining cinematic experience. 😊
Couple of years back, Shajon chetan (Yup..our own Kalabhavan Shajon) came to me and read a fully bound script that he had written. He wanted me to act in it and also take a call on who would be the best choice to direct his script. But in the way he had written it, and in the detailing of his narration..it was pretty obvious to me that only one person could direct his script. HIMSELF!
