Last night , I had the truly distinct honor of sharing her voice , words , story , vision and power on the stage @kennedycenter for the annual #ADLconcertagainst hate . The night honored 7 incredible social activists /warriors that fight against hate , bigotry and racism and Gaby was one of them . Gaby has dedicated her life and soul to immigration reform in this country . Thanks to Gaby and her galvanizing efforts and leadership – we have DACA (deferred action for childhood arrivals) and a daily struggle to bringing justice to our fellow undocumented brothers and sisters . As she would say – we are more than our titles , are all HUMAN and deserve to live in a country of acceptance , love and equality. One post simply can’t do justice to your legacy – or at least I’m having trouble fitting all of my emotions into those words but I learned from you last night that we ALL possess a ray of Light that we can shine on each other in the name of love and social justice . Thank you for all you do and for inspiring us to work towards justice for immigrants in this country with compassion, intelligence and love.
