Here’s some not-so-positive reviews of my late night special from The Comedy Store Main Room. (Available on Amazon) Looks like I upset some folks? Kinda funny. Can’t please everyone. I was actually happy with the special, shining a light on late nite shows, after the dust has settled type of set. I was doing my best to recreate that environment on top of being excited about shooting a special. A little tongue & cheek with a side of meta. By now I’m totally used to people not getting me. I’m just too different or strange for your average everyday civilian or comedy fan. I’m good at warm-up, sometimes hosting and bringing laughs to crowds when they least expect it, which is the complete opposite of successful stand-up comedy. I’m not fishing for compliments or looking for a pat on the back, just letting you know I get it and understand how things work. (PLENTY OF POSITIVE REVIEWS TOO!) But again, been down this road before. Who knows where this one will lead… TBH, not really bothered. Just sharing. Doesn’t feel great. I don’t “get off” on being weird or receiving harsh reviews.
