Made it up to the cabin yesterday on the quad, lol… Went to take the snowmobile trailer and realized my dumbass had taken my hitch off the truck, said screw it and rode the quad dirty to the property entrance with Oso on my seat… Quad made it twice as far as I expected, but couldn’t climb the steep obviously, hiked the rest… Valerie and I are very stoked, this weekend we closed on the 160 acres next to our 40, the parcel was essentially the only possibility of having a neighbor as the rest is national forest. No neighbors for me Ty… Just wanted to ensure my boys know what real camping is like. Sad that in today’s day in age most kids only know pulling up on a paved road, to paved parking spot, a picnic table, a fire pit, good ole leash laws, and some random family doing the same thing 10 yards away, while the Rangers make their rounds every hour to check and make sure you are following the rules… Not to mention 99% of those camp grounds are closed when there is snow on the ground.
