This weekend I handed out 200 new/gently used winter jackets, sweatshirts, sweatpants to veterans on Skid Row. I also handed out sleeping bags, blankets, backpacks scarves, beanies, gloves, socks, towels and hygiene packages (hand sanitizer, shampoo/conditioner, soap, tissue, toothbrush/toothpaste, deodorant, etc.)

As I passed out the clothing, I learned that socks are some of the most needed and least donated items. So next month I will be back with more socks, and winter wear, along with toys and sleeping bags for the children of Skid Row.

For a moment, put political parties aside; Creating a dialogue person to person with out division or bias. WE can do better.

Selfishness has become an epidemic with the side effects being a lacking sense of community and a dissolution of compassionate characteristics.
.
Let’s work towards strengthening each other while making distinctive efforts to interact with kindness. Let us show respect despite differences in opinion.

Live for something greater than yourself. Pursue meaning rather than short term happiness. Help others. Be the change. ✊🏼
