Carly Schroeder Instagram – I was recently ask if I was a “SUICIDE BOMBER ” because I was training in a @dfndrarmor dark @multicampattern plate carrier at the gym. Then last week I got serval complaints/comments asking me if it was “socially acceptable” for me to be running in public with a plate carrier.

It is socially acceptable to be ignorant; to ignore things that make us as a society feel “uncomfortable”.

Its socially acceptable to pretend the world isn’t a dangerous place with escalating threats (foreign and domestic).

It’s socially acceptable to be oblivious to the fact that there is a huge industry around human trafficking and pedophilia (Especially in Hollywood).

It’s socially acceptable to know the names of all the Kardashian’s and not know the names on a ballot (and these people still vote 🤦🏼‍♀️).

It’s socially acceptable for people to break laws and still claim victim.
.
It’s socially acceptable for veterans to be living in homeless camps after risking their lives to protect their country as well as the men and women to their left and right.

It is socially acceptable for schools to force testing and attendance (which allows them state funding) but not actually prepare students for their future.

It is socially acceptable to overlook environmental concerns and animal rights because of the importance placed on monetary gain.

It’s socially acceptable to ignore the poisoning of our people via contaminated water (NOT just Flint) and unsafe foods (still FDA approved).

It’s socially acceptable to take medications to treat symptoms and not fix the problem (because the pharmaceutical industry would lose profit).

It is socially acceptable to idolize characteristics like skinny, rich, famous… and disregard morals, manners and respect.

“Socially acceptable” is a bit of a joke.

Long story short, I’ve got 99 problems and my plate carrier ain’t one.
