Each one of us want to be awesome and phenomenal in so many aspects of our lives if not in all of them – As we chase our dreams & targets, we tend to hide / airbrush the fact that we have many flaws. Infact we hunt for ways to deny having them. Since for us, Flaws are bad… Therefore meant to be hidden.. Covered up.. Just like what we use makeup for, to hide what we don’t want to show.. For us ..”Daag achhey nahin hain..” Post the cover-up, we carry on living life with an air of indifference. But deep down, those flaws those things “bad”, eat us up each day. This is our own secret and thus, our own unhappiness. But consider,it need not be like this. How about turning the tables on our own notion about ourselves… Flaws are our imperfections, only when matched with the proverbial/Mythical perfect… That’s right.. The Mythical perfect.. For there is no absolute perfect, there are aspects we love in others, but are unable to match up to… That’s it. How will it be to discover the unique mix in us, which allows us to turn the very “Flaws” we hide, into a unique strength? When I started my journey of working in films other than Hindi… The beginning itself exposed a shortcoming /flaw in me.. I didn’t know 8 of the 11 languages I was working in.. But when i turned that flaw into an ability.. I found that I now was not limited to the languages that I knew.. Infact I can now work in an innuit language film too.. So now, not just 11…any language working is a possibility for me.  In my other role as I began interacting with corporates i realised I had no clue what corporate life was about. But the “Flaw” of being the outsider made me work that much more on widening my understanding of what was happening in the inside of corporate lives, whilst bringing a freshness to the understanding and curation thanks to the “asset” of being a creative outsider. So here’s the invite, let’s acknowledge the flaws and turn them to your advantage.. For each of us has flaws… And is “flawed” .. And the sooner we are able to acknowledge it, the quicker we will find innovative ways for the flaws to become an addition t
