Amy Jackson Instagram – I’m absolutely delighted to be joining @elephantfamily as an ambassador and I’m very grateful to Ruth Ganesh for welcoming me on board. There’s a long journey ahead and I couldn’t be more excited to raise awareness on all the amazing work Elephant Family do to educate and support Asia’s wild elehants”. With less than 50,000 Asian elephants surviving in the wild, their plight is often over-shadowed by the ivory issue that is impacting on Africa’s 450,000 wild elephants. For Asian elephants’ habitat-loss, poaching and conflict with expanding human populations are the key threats to their survival. “We are thrilled to have Amy lending her voice to the voiceless herds across Asia,” says Elephant Family’s Principal Trustee, Ruth Ganesh. “The more we can raise awareness about the species the more likely we are to be able to leverage real understanding and lasting conservation initiatives that will protect these awesome animals for generations to come.” 📸 captured on my iPhone ❤️
