Stop looking at yourself through a magnifying glass. Stop worrying about the muffin top or the fold on your tummy. Life is too short to care for your stretch marks and ditch that perfect swimwear cuz you thought you’re not yet ready for it. Life is too short to let go off all your happy moments, sulking about the weight you’ve gained. You might not be the skinniest, like the models you see on ramp or you might not have the curves and are wishing for the perfect ass. You might not be any of those perfect body image you’ve set in your minds, but you might not realize that you might not have the same time again. The time you’ve spent in cribbing, criticizing and hiding that body part, is the time you’ve lost to enjoy the moment which is gone. The time might be soon gone and when you’re may be in your 70s and when you have the same fat or even more or when you have the same cellulite or even more or when you have the same stretch marks or even more or when your skin is sagging to a level that you can’t even hide it anymore; that time you would just be left with all the moments gone and times wasted on self loathing and self criticizing.
I am not saying, don’t wish for a healthier body. By all means, go workout and eat healthy to be your best self. Please don’t sit on the couch and embrace your unhealthy body but please don’t fall into this rut of idolizing a particular body image and start shaming your own uniqueness. Not all bodies are same: your chubby cheeks, or soft arms or heavy thighs or broad bones shouldn’t stop you to enjoy life like a normal real person. Get off those magazines, social media pages and tabloids and start looking at real people.
Real people walk around with their sagging breasts, put on their sunscreen and go for a long swim. They eat their veggies with their carbs and get up in the morning for a long walk.
I know it’s not easy and it’s been the most difficult for me for last 1year; but travelling has helped me gain this perspective along with the extra kgs.
But, I tell myself I am not going to worry about the size of my track pants but rather work on how far can I stretch it again and get that split right💪🏻

Standing elegantly behind me is Al-kazneh, known as Petra’s treasury. Some say it served as a museum of the Nabatean era and some believe it was a treasury hiding all the golds and loots. The many theories and legends surrounding this place is extremely intriguing and what makes it one of the seven wonders. What’s worth noticing is how beautifully and intricately these structures are just carved out of mere stone rocks.
I can only say one thing, you can not help but get awestruck when you visit this city of mysteries.
