Donisha Rita Claire Prendergast Instagram – It was a typical Jamaican Summer day in the 90’s, and we were playing outdoor on my Nana’s farm, wondering through the high bushes in search of adventure. There was this beautiful black bull that we would always tease from afar, even though we knew better. On this day, we decided to enter its territory, unaware that he hadn’t been properly secured after grazing. We threw a few stones at him, and ran around his playground making fun. He observed us intently for a few moments before he gave chase and I fell trying to get away. Ingemar was a clear distance ahead, but he turned back to pick me up and distract the bull while I ran to safety. Fearless and confident, he danced with the beautiful beast, then skillfully scaled the fence. We laughed until tears fell from our happy eyes as we cleaned thorns from our shorts and wiped blood from scars… another successful adventure on the battlefield. A favourite memory, one of many.
