In 2017, I presented my first conference paper with my wonderful brother (who is too cool to Instagram) on the female cover as a powerful palimpsest to reinterpret narratives of masculinity in indie rock bands. TLDR; we wrote a fun paper on Radiohead.
And every time we are bogged down by the terrible pressures of academia (yeah fucku Judith Butler) it’s good to remember why we started. Because theory is therapy. And if you are that idiot who overthinks everything in life, might as well put it to good use.
Here’s to 2019, which will see the fourth conference presentation, and the first book chapter of the iconic Nakul Krishnamurthy & Namita Krishnamurthy duo. Celebrate us, friends! I need validation!
