Home Actor Michael Bearden HD Instagram Photos and Wallpapers June 2019 Michael Bearden Instagram - Quick story: As I posted a few days ago, I recently lead an all star tribute to Ray Charles at the Grand Ole Opry. It included big country stars and some non country stars. This isn’t a post about that. It’s a post about judgement. The next day after the show, Charlie Wilson and I were on the same flight back to LA. (If you don’t know who “Uncle Charlie” is, or his story, please do yourself a favor and research him. It’s an amazing story!) There are many phony people in this business. Charlie is NOT one of them. I’ve known him a long time. He’s as real as they come! He and I were just chopping it up, catching up on life and reflecting on the prior night’s performance. As we were boarding, a lady walked over to us and said, “You guys look important. Are you rappers or something?” Okay. Listen! We were dressed as musicians dress. A little blinged up, okay. But, not anything over the top. Just enough to know we didn’t work at a brokerage firm or something. Lol 😆 We’re in a sensitive time right now. And, we were in a so called “red” state. I could’ve easily gone left. But, I said to her, “Firstly, everyone is important to somebody. Then I said, No. We’re not rappers. We performed at the Opry last night”. Her face hit the floor. “The Opry?” She said. That’s big time!” I just smiled. We boarded and as we were sitting there, people were coming on complimenting us on the show. And, how much they enjoyed it. I never saw that woman again. Hopefully she learned something that day. Or maybe she didn’t. Who knows? All I know is, nobody can stop you from living your truth! And even more, the only thing that can ever stop your purpose is you not embracing it! Live your purpose. Live your truth. You’ll be unstoppable! No matter how others may see you!! Michael Bearden Instagram – Happy Friday! Imma start dedicating my flashbacks to the OG’s in my career. First up, the man who signed Janis Joplin and Aretha when she left Atlantic. (Let that sink in!) Clive Davis! I first met Clive in the early 90’s. I was working with artists on his label Artista. Then I landed the gig with Whitney Houston. (1990) I was still a baby in this industry. That gig and Nip, saved me! I haven’t looked back since. Clive gave me some great and simple advice about working with artists. “The song always comes first!” I still believe that. However, (It was a different era) I ran into Clive recently at a popular establishment here in LA. We caught up briefly, (there was a lot of paparazzi out) he insisted they take this photo of us. . Living my dreams out loud. Gratitude! 🙌🏾 M~ #friday #fbf #flashbackfriday #clivedavis #starmaker #arista #whitneyhouston #singer #song #music #musicdirector #lovemylife #striveforgreatness #beinspired #believeinyourself #liveyourbestlife (pic.1 me and Clive in LA. pic.2 I snapped this at a party in Manhattan somewhere. Michael Bearden Instagram – Music is the most powerful language in the known Universe! It has the power to unite even when one doesn’t speak the native tongue. That’s what I really wanted to do with this Ray Charles Grand Ole Opry tribute. Unite! So necessary in these days and times! The show will feature many artists of various genres. Some of the names are: Tricia Yearwood, Boy II Men, Travis Tritt, Charlie Wilson, LeAnn Rhimes, Leela James, CAM, Darius Rucker, to name a few. It will air early next year! I hope you ALL will enjoy. It was one of the most challenging shows I’ve ever lead. . Years ago, before there were 1000 Chanel’s or Netflix, TV used to actually go off at night. Lol 😆Many stations would play this as their sign off music. I’m playing it the old school gospel way. Simple chords with feel and not a lot of substitution. Musicians will understand that. ☺️ That’s the style I heard my mom listening to when I was a boy, AND, how Ray did it. Honored to have known and worked with him🙏🏾)
