Kelly Klein Instagram – Even though something weird was happening with the lighting on my face, I have always loved this picture of myself so much. And we were shooting at a really cool location. A half abandoned mall. It had almost dies and been resurrected so many times. Kind of a nostalgic and bittersweet story. A little weird and a little beautiful. Just like me.
All of that means this picture has a story and a memory attached to it that is more than a girl and a smile.
And I think you all know I LOVE a good story.
When weird or unexpected (some might say inconvenient) things happen, I usually say that now we will remember it. Because now we have a story.
I guess that’s what I’m learning now about myself. All of these little flaws and weird…ness…es (?) are part of my story.
I love that.
Sometimes I have to remind myself to love it. And that’s ok too. .

Would you allow someone to talk to your best friend the way you talk to yourself sometimes?
When I need to remind myself to be kind and supportive of myself, I make an intentional effort to say things that I would say to my best friend.
“I am strong. I can do hard things. My mind is focused on improving my skills. I love my strong and athletic body. I am kind. I help the people around me.”
I deserve to be proud of who I am and everything that comes with it. And so do you. .
