Nadine Labaki Instagram – I wish this was just another usual beautiful end-of-year celebration day where proud parents were called “proud parents” not “migrant workers” and kids were just kids. Where we would just be enjoying the show, the laughter, the emotions without fighting with this bitter uneasy feeling inside, thinking about these kids’ precarious and fragile situation . Where we wouldn’t be thinking about what their daily struggle looks like outside these safe colored walls or what their future holds for them in a world that doesn’t recognize their existence . Am I too naive to dream of such a day ? Thank you @caritas_lebanon, #BethAlephSchool, proud parents, beautiful teachers and caretakers for making this day feel like any other beautiful end of year celebration day!
