Mitch Hewer Instagram – So this is it.. I’ve hit my 30s!! This past year has been such an emotional roller coaster for me. A year ago I was in the scariest, darkest mental place I have ever been in and I could honestly see no way out. I looked in the mirror on a Friday night (I remember this like it was yesterday) and I could see my collar bones sticking out, I lost 20lbs in 2 weeks. I looked at myself for a while and broke down, but in that moment I really saw myself and said no more Mitch, this stops today. So I just picked myself up, joined an acting class and moved to London, then moved to Los Angeles. I met so many new people and gained life long friends, started new hobbies and learnt new things, but most of all I fought every single second of every single day. Lived in the now, taught myself to forget about tomorrow and to learn from yesterday. For me, what saved me and knowing my self worth was understanding it’s ok not to be ok and that the world is mean enough, so to become a cheerleader in my life, not a hater. But to also give love away to anyone and everyone I met, which made me understand how being happy actually works in this world. Happiness is so beautiful, even if it’s not yours, but the joy you will receive back will warm your heart like no other. I truly believe the love you give away is the only love you will keep. Could be a hug, a smile or a helping hand. Which I received so much of. I can’t name everyone that helped me through this year but you know who you are and from the bottom of my heart, I thank you and I love you dearly. So here’s to jumping in to my 30s.
