Dia Mirza Instagram – The eastern corner of #India has been hit by floods. As landscapes get inundated and animals run for survival, they often get caught in conflict when they run into human habitations and suffer injuries due to various other anthropogenic causes. In situations like these and multiple other threats faced by wildlife on a regular basis, Wildlife Trust of India (WTI) provides immediate short term grants as “Rapid Action Projects” (RAP) to help animals in distress. The @wildlifetrustofindia team involved draws from its vast and varied experience of having worked in emergencies like the cyclones across the eastern coast of India, floods throughout the country and even during the raging 2004 Tsunami, tending to over 13000 cases till date and the many conservation projects we run across the country. We work towards ensuring them to be safe in wild the wild. With the recent deluge, we have already begun receiving calls for protection of wildlife and they will increase over the next few days, given the continued rains.
The time is NOW to step up and as required respond to wildlife threats. Can you help with your support to our Rapid Action Projects, Today? To make your contribution click on the link in my stories.
