I’ve struggled with control my whole life. I want a hand in making my life a success. I want to live up to the expectations. But if we think we have a hand in opening the doors of opportunity in our lives then we forget we will also blame ourselves when it all falls apart. Hello shame. Even worse, we also think we get some glory when it succeeds. Hello anxiety. I can’t imagine the pressure of that. Well, actually I can. I’ve lived it. It’s no wonder anxiety and shame hum across our whole society. But God called me to surrender. And I think he’s calling you too. He sees everything at once and he know’s that the freedom of reliance is worth the pain of surrender. You can’t control peace, it’s a gift to receive. And I believe that is the presence of Jesus in our lives daily. This is my story.
