An amazing weekend with my mentor, Paige Rense, legendary former Editor-in-Chief of @archdigest. Words can’t describe this extraordinary woman. After I graduated @utaustintx with a photojournalism degree I moved to New York City to pursue my dream of working in magazine. I ended up landing a job at the iconic magazine, Architectural Digest, and was taken under the wing of the famed editor-in-chief, Paige Rense. I was an Assistant Editor for the magazine and created monthly videos called “Mary’s Finds,” where I would find affordable and unique home pieces featured on AD’s website every month.
Although I learned and gained so much knowledge about design and architecture, the thing that I took most from that job experience is a fearless, self-confidence that I can do anything and be anything I want to be.
