Derek Peth Instagram – It was awe inducing to experience the happiness and optimism of everyone yesterday at #pride2019 with old and new friends! The LGBTQ community is just flat out amazing in the face of adversity and while the celebration was a great time, there are still millions in this country alone experiencing oppression and being treated as less than equal because of something as ridiculous as judgment over who they love. Gay conversion therapy (torture) is still legal in most states and thousands of trans service members have been shamed and banned from our Armed Forces due to an administration who treats trans people as less than human.
