Home Actress Amala Akkineni HD Photos and Wallpapers September 2019 Amala Akkineni Instagram - Women In Cinema Collective is launching a film society in the name of the very first woman actor of Malayalam cinema, P.K.Rosy. P K Rosy belonged to the Dalit community and was persecuted and was forced to leave this region itself, just because she acted in the silent film 'Vigathakumaran', the very first Malayalam feature film, produced in 1928. This act of naming our film society a P K Rosy Film Society is a humble attempt to be sensitive and to take note of all those who have been excluded from dominant cinema histories through their gender, caste, religious or class locations and our own imagination, and have been brought to light by many a scholars, historians and activists. Our logo again invokes PK Rosy visually and has been designed by mumbai based designer, Zoya Riyas . P.K.Rosy Film society is an endeavour from our side for establishing a viewing space for cinema, which has most often been an all male space. Headed and run by an all women/transwomen panel, we aim at showcasing, discussing and celebrating women film makers, women film professionals and feminist cinema aesthetics. We hope that the film society will also serve as a democratic platform that will enable discussions on cinema and hopefully contribute to a discourse on contemporary cinema aesthetics.

Amala Akkineni Instagram – I find some facts about my parentage being distorted. Hence the clarification. My mother is Irish and yet my mother-in-law always said she was more Indian in spirit than many Indians. My father is Indian – who grew up in UP and served in the Indian Navy. He was born in the Dhaka of East Bengal, during the time before it was ever called Bangladesh. Unless one understands history, one will never understand the pain caused by partition. His home was taken and his family had to flee for their lives. Cmdr. M.K.Mukherjee, (Rtd.IN, VSM) is a proud Indian, and a Bengali.
Amala Akkineni Instagram – I have reached a place where patience and gratitude outweighs the need to do more, have more. In fact one enjoys being still. Yet there is so much to be done. So I use the patience to understand better – what needs to be done, who needs encouragement; and I use my gratitude to give back more and more each day .🙏🏼 Thank you to the Universe and my parents for such a blessed and meaningful life, thank you to my loved ones, family, friends, fans, colleagues and teachers for all the love and trust. My love and gratitude to each and everyone of you 🙏🏼❤.
