How ahead of it’s time it was. How brave of Carine to tackle this subject. Female writer, director, producer, editor, cast and the phenomenal cinematography of @backroyd_bsc. Thank you @britishfilminstitute for showing the faith in funding this and countless other gems of British cinema. My performance was inspired by groundbreaking British actresses like #KatrinCartlidge, #KathyBurke, #KateHardie, #SusanLynch, @mariannejeanbaptiste, #CathyTyson. I doubt I would have had the career I’ve had without this film and this role.
