I have lived with this character for almost a year now and writing this post and bidding farewell to a play and a character so close to my heart feels overwhelming. Its hard to let go. Thank you Aida. Thank you for teaching me what survival actually means. Thank you for showing me that there is light despite all of the darkness. Thank you for teaching me what true strength, resilience, courage and bravery really is. Thank you for teaching me to be kind, patient , more empathetic and more compassionate towards others. Thank you for teaching me the meaning of true love. Thank you for telling me that the pain is real but so is hope. Ali Xeeshan Theater Studio has been laboriously working for months to highlight serious consequences of plastic on the environment to bring you the collection CHOKE aiming to increase understanding of this issue to empower through fashion. The result of the prolonged usage of this detrimental material means that about 2 million plastic bags are used every minute. Single use plastic accounts for 40% of the plastic produced every year where their usage might be merely of some minutes to an hour but they may persist in the environment for hundreds of years! Not only is the general environment negatively affected by plastic but also the ecosystem is vastly threatened.
