Payman Maadi Instagram – This year’s recipient of Stockholm Achievement Award is Payman Maadi, with the following motivation: This year’s Stockholm Achievement Award recipient is an Iranian actor with universal appeal and world-class role performances that have enriched great cinema. With his powerful and insightful role interpretations he opens a door for the audience to go beyond the big screen, past prejudices and over borders. It is the first time the Bronze Horse is awarded to an actor outside of Europe and USA. Today, Payman Maadi is one of the biggest and most popular film stars in Iran. His acting career really took off in Asghar Farhadi’s (awarded with 2018 Stockholm Visionary Award) About Elly (2009) and A Separation (2011). Payman Maadi have also starred in several American films like Camp X-ray (2014), alongside Kristen Stewart, that was screened at Stockholm International Film Festival 2014. Stockholm Lifetime Achievement Award is presented to an individual in honor and acknowledgement of their contribution to the world of film. Previous recipients of this award are, among others, Gena Rowlands, Lauren Bacall, David Lynch, Oliver Stone, Susan Sarandon, Claire Denis, Mike Leigh, and Francis Ford Coppola. خبرگزاری کشور سوئد بدين صورت خبر داد: «پیمان معادى به دلیل ویژگی منحصربه‌فرد او در حضور بر پرده‌ سینما و عبور از تعصبات و مرزها امسال طی مراسم ویژه‌ای مهمترین جایزه این رویداد هنری، جایزه‌ اسب برنزی را در نمایش اول نوردیک و مراسم فرش قرمز برای نمایش فیلم «متری شیش‌ونیم» (۲۰۱۹) دریافت خواهد کرد.» در ادامه این خبر آمده است:«انگیزه‌های زیادی برای ارائه جایزه امسال دستاورد استکهلم به پیمان معادی است؛ بازیگری ایرانی با جذابیت عمومی و نقش‌آفرینی‌هایی در حد و کلاس جهانی است که به سینمای تراز اول غنا بخشیده‌اند. او با برداشت‌های نیرومند و بابصیرتش از نقش‌ها، دریچه‌ای را برای مخاطب می‌گشاید تا از پرده‌ بزرگ سینما فراتر برود و تعصبات و مرزها را درنوردد. این نخستین‌بار است که جایزه‌ مهم اسب برنزی به بازیگری خارج از اروپا و آمریکا اهدا می‌شود.اين جایزه‌ مهم به افتخار یک فرد و برای قدردانی از او به دلیل ادای سهم به دنیای فیلم اهدا می‌شود. قبل از پیمان معادی افرادی مثل دیوید لینچ، اولیور استون، سوزان ساراندون، لورن باکال، مایک لی و فرانس فورد كاپولا اين جايزه را گرفته اند.
